The week began with Year 2, who led a thoughtful Celebration of the Word for Palm Sunday. Through prayer, scripture and reflection, the children helped the school community to reflect on Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem and the welcome he received.

On Tuesday, Year 3 led a liturgy focusing on the events of the Last Supper. They encouraged everyone to think about Jesus’ example of service, reminding us of the importance of kindness, humility and care for others in our daily lives.

Later in the week, Year 5 will lead the school in a reflection on Good Friday. This liturgy will invite pupils and staff to pause, pray and remember Jesus’ passion and sacrifice, bringing the Holy Week journey to a meaningful close.

Together, these celebrations have created a powerful and prayerful experience for the whole school, allowing pupils to deepen their understanding of the Easter story while confidently leading worship.

The school would also like to thank families who took part in the Lenten Prayer Bag journey throughout the term. It has been wonderful to hear how children from Nursery through to Key Stage 2 have engaged thoughtfully with prayer at home. Family support has helped to strengthen the links between home, school and parish, ensuring that Lent remained a meaningful and reflective season for our children.
